Jennifer & David

I don’t normally blog twice in one day, but I got an email from David today saying “he can’t wait”. He wanted to know where the blog photos were, and was so excited. So, I decided to go ahead and get some previews up now. I’m still working on the images, but here are some of my fav’s from their wedding. First some details about the wedding:

Location: Villa del Sol d’Oro
Officiant: Rev. Doug Edwards
Coordinator: Occasions
Music: Jay Sterling
Floral: Tea Rose Garden
Video: Pacific Wedding Films

David, waiting to see his bride…

The first peek…

As of this posting, David and Jennifer are on their honeymoon. I hope David gets a chance to check the web again and see these photos.

Congratulations to both of you!

Tracy & Brent’s Wedding, Balboa Park

Tracy and Brent had their wedding in Balboa Park, San Diego. They, and all their guests, including me, dressed in Hoolywood 40’s clothing. Here are a few of my fav’s of the day.

Here’s the whole group all dressed to the nines in their 40’s garb.

Here’s moi with the bride.

Then, one of the guests decided to jump up on the stage and sing a Frank Sinatra song.

Cheers,
Jerry

I’m out of coffee this morning…

I went to make some coffee this morning, and as I was searching for the coffee, realized that I used it all yesterday. I like my coffee. If I don’t get it, I can be slightly grumpy in the morning. However, I decided to make it better by reading about coffee. I found this website: coffee, which tells you everything you ever wanted to know about brewing coffee.

I use a french press everyday for making my coffee. I have been completely “into” coffee for a long time. I learned alot about it years ago, and just continued the pursuit of the perfect cup. It’s difficult to describe, but there’s just nothing like a good brew. I have found through my own experiences that it’s difficult to achieve a great consistency using a drip machine. At one point, I spent a very good amount of money on several different types of machines, but I could never get a better cup of joe than using the very simple french press. In case you’re wondering, a french press looks like this:

I think I paid about $25 for mine. Although I am totally into my coffee, the one thing I used to do that I don’t do anymore is grind my own beans. I just got tired of it. And, I’m a pretty early riser, and once we had kids, I just stopped making all that noise in the morning. I also haven’t ever roasted my own beans, which I understand some people do. Maybe some day I’ll try it. Basically, I try to buy the best possible beans I can, and enjoy my coffee. I usually buy my beans at Polly’s . They seem to have the best and freshest roasted beans. There’s one here close to my house on 2nd street that I get my beans from. Sometimes, when I’m lazy, I just buy whatever is at the store, but I don’t typically enjoy that coffee as much. I also like Peets  quite a bit. I’m not a Starbucks fan at all. Their coffee tastes burnt to me. But, they are well liked by many, so that’s cool. To each their own.

For someone who hasn’t had any coffee this morning, I sure have a lot to talk about, eh?

OK, I’m off to the coffee shop. I think there should be something open at 5:30 am.

Cheers,
Jerry

I’m in Atlanta…

I’ll be out of the office all this week visiting with some people in Atlanta, GA. Don’t worry, I’ll still have access to email (I think), and Joy will still be in the office getting things done. I’ll keep you posted if anything interesting happens in “Hotlanta”!

Cheers,
Jerry

What to do today?

I don’t have a wedding to shoot today, so I was wondering what I should do. I typed “what should i do today” in google, and here’s what I got: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070519052359AAZ0pjx

Overall, it sounds like I should go outside and enjoy the day. So, maybe that’s what I’ll do.

Jerry

Jamie & Rick, 9/29/07

Jamie and Rick had their wedding at the Serman Library & Gardens in Corona Del Mar. I had no idea this place existed. I drive past it all the time. From the outside you have no idea what’s on the inside. It’s a beautiful oasis. The wedding was absolutely perfect.

Wedding: Serman Library & Gardens, Corona Del Mar, CA

Here are a couple of my favorite images from this wedding.
