Annette & Kyle, Union Station, 3/29/08

My wedding yesterday was awsome! Britney from Turn Loose the Art helped me out on this one. Britney started out with Annette at her mom’s house. I started with the guys at the Standard Hotel in Los Angeles. I must say, if you are going to stay anywhere in LA, this is THE place to stay. Funky and cool. And, it has a pool, bar and lounge on the roof top that is awesome. After that, we headed to Union Station for the ceremony and reception.

These first two images are provided courtesy of Britney.

Union Station is almost like a photographers dream - and, a bride and groom’s too! :)

Dig these funky boots…

A big congratulations to Annette & Kyle and both their families.

My Self-Portrait

Happy Easter!

My wife and kids are away right now visiting my brother-in-law in Autstralia. When ever I have time on my hands, I attempt a self-portrait. It’s fun because I can do what ever I want and slip out of the norm and try to do something unique.

Here is my attempt today. Warning: This might scare your children (LOL).

Dirtbags 9, Trojans 6 at Blair Field

If you are a baseball fan, and you haven’t done it yet, I highly urge you to take a day and go watch some baseball at Blair Field. I took Andrew on Sunday, and we had a blast. We will defintely be doing this more often. And, what’s even better is the Dirtbags are a really good team. It was fun to watch them slaughter USC (well maybe not slaughter, but they did win). We had a great day, and it is cheap too, and very local; I enjoyed much better than driving to LA or OC to watch a game.

Katie & Mitch, Engagement Session

Fortunately, the wind settled down a bit, and we were able to do this session. Mitch is in the military and isn’t here in CA just yet. He was out visiting and so I was able to work them in. I can’t wait to shoot thier wedding in May!

Maternity of Carl & Theresa

My good friends are having their baby soon and I was honored when they asked me to do their maternity session. I shot their wedding in 2005. This was also a very rare moment for my as I don’t nomally do studio sessions. But, the weather was not very good outside, and thanks to my good friend Tammy from True Blue Photography, she let me use her studio for this session.

Much love and congrats to Theresa and Carl.

Happy St Patrick’s Day

Cheers,

Jerry

Laura & Corey, March 8, 2008

Last Saturday, Laura & Corey had a beautiful wedding starting out at St. Cornelius Catholic Church. With the reception at Eagles Nest Club House at the Naval Golf Course in Cypress. Corey is just out of the Navy, and their story that lead up to this day was very romantic. All in all it was a great day in SoCal. And, I want to thank Stephanie Williams again for the 2nd shooter help on this wedding.

This is dad seeing Laura in her dress for the first time.

Dad, walking his daughter down the aisle.

The lighting was sweet for the bride and groom portraits. I think I thanked Laura about 10 times for providing such an awesome photographic experience for me.

These guys were responsible for hooking me up with Laura & Corey. I shot Liz & Brian’s wedding back in 2006. It’s great fun to see clients from the past!

And, this was one of the last shots I took. I just asked them to stand under the heat lamp outside. I really like this photo. This is straight out of the camera. No photoshop was done to this image.

Congratulations to both Laura and Corey.

I’m really looking forward to my next wedding. The couple is getting married at Union Station in Los Angeles. Should be fun!

Heather & David - February 17, 2008

This was my first wedding of 2008. Heather & David were so easy-going and great to work with. And, I have to thank Stephanie Williams for 2nd shooting on this one. The whole wedding, from start to finish, was at the Garden Room in Garden Grove. The other great thing about this wedding, is it was early in the day, so I still had time to enjoy the beatiful day that day.

This first one is a shot by Stephanie of Heather meeting her dad at the end of the stairs

Congratulations to Heather & David!
